Happy Fall Everyone! I know it has technically been fall for a few weeks now and I know it seems I keep apologizing for the slackness on my part, but I am truly going to force myself to put out a post at least every other week going forward!
So just a few things going on with me currently. I am halfway through my third semester of my business administration degree and officially halfway through my program! (Thank you, Lord!) To say it has been smooth sailing thus far would be a severe understatement. Long nights coupled with a near non-existent social life, moments of wanting to throw in the towel because I just don’t know if this will even be worth it in the end (of course I know that it will be) and more and more student debt with each passing semester seems to be my new normal. Even though these seem big now, I know that in the end, I will be happier for it.
I am currently still looking for a new job. I have had a few opportunities arise but unfortunately none that were promising enough for me to be able to leave where I am. I do currently have a prospect that is still open, so I am going to remain optimistic until that is offered or declined to me. I am a full believer that God’s timing is perfect, and I know that He opens and closes doors when His timing best suits our needs. In the meantime, please pray for my patience and contentment to rest in Him and not my situation.
A few weeks ago, I was blessed to be able to find and purchase a new car! After weeks and weeks of looking and finding nothing but discouragement and frustration that nothing fit my budget, I was able to find my dream car at a dream price! I am not going to lie…a little piece of me cried for my trusty old Mustang…We had been through a lot and gone many miles together (150,000 to be exact). Of course, those tears could have been from the fact that I went from no car payment in the last seven years to 300 times that for the next several years. But, I know that as He cares for the sparrows, so our Lord cares for us, and He will supply our every need.
At the beginning of last month, my husband and I had the opportunity to go to an awesome ministry for individuals interested in living boldly for Christ, and in the identity He has given us. The School of Power and Love is a conference that equips and emboldens the body of Christ to meet people where they are and to radically love them through prayer and action. We were able to meet so many people who have a tremendous heart for God and His children. The takeaway from these conferences is that you leave with a passion for seeing and healing the hurting, the oppressed and the down trodden. The best part is this conference was so affordable and way worth anything you would have to spend on registration fees, lodging, travel, etc. The School of Power and Love is something I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for something more in their life. If you feel like you haven’t quite reached your potential or even if you just want the opportunity to bless others and be blessed, I encourage you to check it out. You can find more on our experience in the previous post here.
I don't know about you, but I am so excited for the season change!
